Do I need to ventilate the dishwasher after washing? This question worries many users, so there are supporters of different opinions. Some believe that the assistant does not require special care, just take out clean utensils. Others that condensate should evaporate rather than accumulate in the hopper. Let's get it right.
Is it possible to leave the door closed?
Some housewives believe that since the manufacturer has released a dishwasher, it means that it should not only wash dirty dishes, but also engage in self-service. That is, additional care for the equipment is not required. There are other, more rational, arguments on this score. This is what users justify the PMM’s permanently closed door:
- Before delivery to the store, the factory tested the machine, so water may remain inside. Nothing terrible happened?
- The washing is carried out at a high temperature with chemicals, so you should not be afraid of the appearance of mold and fungus. Moreover, the rest of the powder only dries to the walls, if you keep the door open.
- Not for that, buyers chose a compact car to take up space in the kitchen door. And there’s nowhere to turn around, the manufacturer must have foreseen this moment.
- Excessive electricity consumption is useless, because when you open the light is on.
Of course, the bunker can be kept closed if you so wish. But what is better for technology and health? Consider the second point.
Do I need to keep the door open?
In fact, the answer has long been spelled out in the instruction manual for the PMM. If you missed this point, then recall that moisture and food debris are the best environment for the development of bacteria, fungi and mold, which later is not easy to get rid of. Of course, machines are tested at the factory, but this does not mean that you need to leave a chamber full of dirty dishes and humidity.
Here are the main manufacturers recommendations:
- After the cycle, allow the plates to dry well and only then remove the dishes.
- After each wash, clean the drain filter of debris and food debris, wipe the seal with a dry cloth.
- With frequent use of PMM and constant cleaning, it is not necessary to open the door every time, the bacteria will not have time to multiply.
- If you rarely use the machine, then let the camera dry well, otherwise the remaining water will stagnate.
Equipment must be used at least once a week, otherwise it makes no sense. Residual water always remains in the filter tank, preventing the rubber elements from drying out. Therefore, it is important to clean parts and not allow moisture and food to harm the machine.
